What is the difference between a washable marker and a regular water-based marker?

A washable marker is formulated specifically to make color easier to remove from skin, fabrics or other intended surfaces under suitable cleaning conditions. A regular water-based marker uses water as a main carrier but does not automatically provide the same washability.

Can washable marker colors still leave stains on some fabrics?

Yes. Results vary with fabric construction, color depth, contact time and washing conditions. Dark colors generally require tighter formulation and residue testing because they can be more visible after washing.

What is the difference between dye-based and pigment-modified watercolor marker ink?

Dye-based systems provide higher transparency and stronger rewetting for blending and gradients. Pigment-modified systems are more opaque and can provide stronger lightfastness for many colors, but usually have less secondary diffusion.

Can a marker recover after the tip begins to dry?
