Acrylic paint markers are suitable for glass, ceramic, solid wood, MDF, stone, rock, canvas and paper. Their high-opacity pigment system is useful for DIY, crafts, school art, decoration and rock painting, including light colors over dark surfaces.
For best adhesion, remove dust, oil and surface contamination before marking.
Permanent and paint marker formats can mark galvanized iron, stainless steel, tools, components, packaging and other industrial surfaces. Applications include manufacturing identification, QC marking, construction work and selected automotive touch-up or reference marking.
For metal, documented surface-dry time is approximately 4–6 minutes with 24–36 hours for full cure under standard conditions.
PVC has relatively higher surface energy and can generally be marked directly after cleaning. PP and PE have low surface energy, so stable adhesion normally requires plasma surface activation or a suitable CPP/PP primer.
Without pretreatment, markings on PP or PE may look acceptable at first but can fail scratch or tape adhesion checks after drying.
